YouTuber and content creator Towhid Afridi has been arrested by the CID in connection with a murder case that took place in July.
CID Special Police Superintendent (Media) Jasim Uddin Khan said that "he was arrested from Barisal tonight. He is being brought to Dhaka."
He said, CID-Police have arrested content creator Touhid Afridi in a murder case filed at Jatrabari Police Station in connection with the anti-discrimination movement. A special CID team conducted a raid from Barisal tonight and arrested him. Touhid Afridi is the 11th accused in the murder case filed at Jatrabari Police Station in connection with the anti-discrimination student movement.
Jasim Uddin Khan said that the main accused in this case is former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the second accused is former Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, and the third accused is former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun. In the same case, the accused number 22, his father, MyTV Chairman Nasir Uddin Sathi, was arrested by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) on August 17.
In addition to the 25 people, 150 unidentified people have been accused in this murder case.
