Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government, has arrived in Cox's Bazar to participate in a three-day international conference to find a solution to the Rohingya crisis.
He arrived at Cox's Bazar International Airport around 10 am on Monday (August 25). He is scheduled to address the Chief Advisors Conference at 11 am.
Earlier, the conference titled 'Takeaway to the High-Level Conference on the Rohingya Situation' began on Sunday (August 24) at Hotel Baywatch in Inani, Ukhiya. The three-day conference is being jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the High Representative for Rohingya Affairs.
On the first day, Rohingya representatives directly exchanged views with foreign stakeholders. Representatives from 40 countries, the United Nations, and officials from various organizations working on the Rohingya issue participated.
The conference is focusing on finding an effective way to repatriate the Rohingya to Myanmar, as well as important issues such as international funding, genocide trials, food aid, and building the morale of the Rohingya.
On Tuesday (August 26), the last day of the three-day conference, foreign guests will visit the Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar.
