Former senior secretary Abu Alam Shahid Khan has been arrested by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) from the capital's Ramna area on Monday in a case filed by Shahbagh Police Station.
DMP Deputy Police Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the matter to the media. He said that six people, including former senior secretary Abu Alam Shahid Khan, were arrested in a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act of Shahbagh Police Station around 12 noon on Monday.
Incidentally, Abu Alam Shahid Khan served as the Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary during the Awami League government from 1996-2001.
