Biman Bangladesh Airlines will operate two flights today, Thursday, to repatriate Bangladeshi citizens stranded in the country amid the ongoing political instability in Nepal.
Bangladesh's ambassador to Nepal, Shafiqur Rahman, gave this information in a post on his Facebook account.
Shafiqur Rahman said that Biman Bangladesh Airlines will operate two regular flights today at 3:05 pm and 5:45 pm.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines passengers who were scheduled to fly from Kathmandu to Dhaka on September 9 and 10 can take advantage of Biman's additional flight BG374 today.
A source at the Bangladesh Embassy in Nepal says that a 51-member delegation from the Defense College, which went on a study tour, is currently in Nepal. The number of Bangladeshis working there in various international organizations and NGOs is about 50.
In addition, there are currently approximately 400 Bangladeshi tourists in the country.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh football team is returning to Dhaka on a special flight this afternoon.
