The announcement of the verdict began live on a big screen at the Payra campus of TSC of Dhaka University from 11 am on Monday (November 17). DUCSU VP Abu Sadiq Kayem gave this information in a Facebook post.
The tribunal sentenced Sheikh Hasina to death in the verdict. At the same time, another accused, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, was also sentenced to death. In addition, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, who was a royal witness, was sentenced to five years in prison.
