The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has decided to extend the deadline for filing income tax returns online for the second time by one month.
According to the new decision, the deadline for filing returns has been extended from December 31 to January 31.
This information was revealed in an order signed by NBR Secretary Md. Ekramul Haque on Sunday. NBR Public Relations Officer Md. Al Amin Sheikh also confirmed the matter.
Earlier, the time for filing returns online was extended by one month, ending on December 31. According to the Income Tax Act, November 30 is the last day for filing income tax returns.
