A gas valve burst on Mirpur Road, causing a leak, resulting in severe low gas pressure in parts of the capital.
Titas Gas authorities announced this information in a message on Saturday.
The message said that due to the leakage caused by the rupture of a 4-inch diameter valve in front of Ganabhaban on Mirpur Road, several valves of the distribution network were closed to limit the pressure, resulting in severe low gas pressure in Dhanmondi, Mohammadpur, Shyamoli, New Market, Hazaribagh, Gabtoli and adjacent areas. The work of replacing the valve has been started as soon as possible. Titas Gas authorities sincerely apologize for the temporary inconvenience to the customers.
