A tourist died after being thrown from his water bike by the waves at Cox's Bazar beach. On Monday (October 21) around 1 o'clock in the afternoon, he died after falling from the water bike at Sea Gull Point, Cox's Bazar District Administration Tourism Cell Magistrate Md. Tanvir Hossain.

In this incident, the number 10 water bike running on the beach has been seized. However, he mentioned that the driver and the owner are absconding.

The deceased tourist Al Mamun Howlader (32) is the son of Nurul Alam Howlader of Wazirpur, Barisal. However, they currently live in Bayezid Bostami area of ​​Chittagong, relatives said. He came to Cox's Bazar with his family and stayed at the Sea Park Hotel in Kalatali. He fell to his death while taking a selfie while on a water bike.

Beach worker Belal Hossain said that Al Mamun rode the rented water bike number 10 around 12 noon. At that time he suffered an accident. He fell off the water bike and could not get up. He was rescued immediately and taken to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead. The water bike is in the custody of the tourist police.

According to sources, Mamun, a tourist, went some distance from the shore on a water bike and while returning to the shore was taking a selfie and was knocked down by the wave. After learning about the matter, the lifeguards and water bikes concerned tried to rescue him.

Tourist Cell Magistrate Tanveer Hossain said that it is mandatory for tourists riding water bikes to wear life jackets. He was wearing a life jacket but the front belt was open. The observation revealed that the tourist Mamun could not wear the belt properly due to his poor health. However, after the tourist died after falling from the water bike, the owner-drivers immediately took away the water bike he was riding along with other water bikes. The driver and helper of bike number 10 escaped. However, the tourist police seized the bike.

Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital Dr. Muhammad Ashiqur Rahman said, a young man who was brought to the hospital around 1:30 in the afternoon had already died.
