UN Secretary-General António Guterres is set to visit Dhaka on a four-day trip starting on March 13 (Thursday).
According to a press release issued by the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations on Wednesday (February 26) local time, the UN Secretary-General's office has confirmed that António Guterres will make an official visit to Bangladesh from March 13 to 16, following an invitation from the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh's interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
The press release further stated that the Chief Adviser's Special Envoy on Rohingya and Priority Issues, Dr. Khalilur Rahman, handed over the invitation letter from Dr. Yunus to the UN Secretary-General during a meeting in New York on February 7.
