Jatiya Party Senior Co-Chairman Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud said, "The party chairman's decision is illegal. We are still in our positions. We are all founding members. Every decision of the chairman is autocratic."

He made these remarks at a press conference organized by leaders expelled from the Jatiya Party in Gulshan on Tuesday (July 8).

Anisul Islam Mahmud said, GM Quader became the chairman in the dark of night. He took the signature by force in the dark of night. At that time, Ershad Sahib was very ill. No one from any democratic party hands over power in the dark of night. He was ill, he took power by force.

"Consult and decide, we want to go to the council. Why don't you want to hold a conference? Let the power be transferred through the council."
