After the curfew, Section 144 has been imposed across Gopalganj district. Examinees, students, emergency service organizations, and government offices and courts are outside Section 144. However, meetings and gatherings of more than one person are prohibited in the district.

Businesses have opened on a limited basis in the morning. Vehicles are moving. Law enforcement is on alert.

Curfew was in effect from 8 pm on Saturday to 6 am on Sunday. District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamruzzaman imposed Section 144 at 10:30 pm on Saturday to maintain law and order.

Four people were killed in clashes in Gopalganj on Wednesday over an NCP march. A curfew was imposed in the situation. Another person who was shot in the incident died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Thursday night.

In this situation, the district administration has continued the curfew with occasional breaks considering the situation. The curfew was in effect from 8 pm on Saturday to 6 am on Sunday. In this incident, the police have filed four separate cases against 3,000 Awami League leaders and activists. 277 people have been arrested.
