Three people were killed and at least 10 others injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses in Faridpur.

The incident took place at Abul Hossain Filling Station in Karimpur area of Faridpur Sadar on the Dhaka-Khulna highway around 10 am on Thursday (July 24).

Karimpur Highway Police said that 3 people were killed and 8/10 people from both buses were injured in a head-on collision between a Royal Express bus going from Chuadanga to Dhaka and a local bus Rick Enterprise going from Faridpur to Magura. The injured and deceased have been sent to the hospital. However, their identities have not been confirmed yet. Traffic on the highway is still normal.

Karimpur Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Salauddin Chowdhury said, "Police are working to identify the deceased. The process of recovering the two buses involved in the accident is underway. Legal action will be taken in this regard."
