A rally of the nationalist Chhatra Dal has begun at Shahbagh in the capital to mark the anniversary of the July Uprising. The rally began at around 2:30 pm on Sunday with a speech by Chhatra Dal central president Rakibul Islam. He said, 'No one in Bangladesh has the power to stop Chhatra Dal.'

In his opening speech, Rakibul Islam also said, 'If Chhatra Dal wants, it can pull out the poisonous teeth of those conspirators who want to destabilize the country. If Chhatra Dal's organizational guardian Tarique Rahman gives instructions, the leaders and activists can blockade the entire country.'

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is scheduled to deliver a virtual speech as the chief guest at the rally. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will be the special guest. Apart from this, BNP central leaders will also address the rally.

Meanwhile, BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury, Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin and some central leaders are on the stage. Former Chhatra Dal president Kazi Rawnkul Islam, former General Secretary Iqbal Hossain Shyamal and other former Chhatra Dal leaders are also on the stage.

The rally, chaired by Chhatra Dal central president Rakibul Islam, is being moderated by Chhatra Dal general secretary Nasir Uddin.
