India's GDP growth slowed to 5.4 percent in the July-September quarter, the lowest in nearly two years. In the same period last year, the country's growth was 8.1 percent. Growth has slowed mainly due to slow pace of manufacturing.
But India is still a fast growing economy. Because China's growth in the July-September quarter of this year has been 4.6 percent.
Earlier, in the October-December quarter of 2022-23 fiscal year, India's GDP growth stood at 4.3 percent.
The country's gross value added was 5.6 percent, which was 6.8 percent in the previous quarter.
