A low pressure may develop in the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Andaman Sea in the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Office said. It is also likely to turn into a cyclone later.
The Meteorological Office reported this information in the regular forecast on Sunday (October 20).
It has been said that there may be less rain for two days before the cyclone. After that, the rain may increase from Wednesday. Today, Sunday and tomorrow, Monday, the day temperature may increase slightly across the country. At the same time, the night temperature may drop slightly.
Meteorologist Abdur Rahman told that there is a fear of cyclone due to low pressure. But what will be its trajectory, how strong it will be - it will be known after the creation of low pressure. However, there are fears that the cyclone will form within this week.
Earlier on October 1, the Meteorological Office had predicted a cyclone in this month. At that time, it was informed that three low pressures may occur in the Bay of Bengal this month. One of which may become a depression and develop into a cyclone. Besides, there may be more than normal rainfall in the country as a whole.
It is known that the name of this possible cyclone has been given as 'Dana'. It is the name given to Qatar.
