The entire Odisha state of India is affected by the threat of Cyclone Dane created in the Bay of Bengal. The India Meteorological Department has already mentioned the possible place where this cyclone will hit.

The India Meteorological Department said the cyclone could make landfall through Bhitrakanya and Dhamara over Odisha. Its speed during impact can be 100-110 km per hour. The maximum speed can reach 120 kilometers per hour.
Currently 'Dana' is 280 km away from Paradwip in Odisha. It is 310 km from Dhamara and 370 km from Sagar Dwip.
According to information from the Bhubaneswar regional office of the India Meteorological Department, Baleshwar, Bhadrak and Kendrapara will be most likely to experience the storm's fury. There is a risk of more damage in these three districts. The potential speed of the storm in these three districts may be 100-110 km when the grains hit the land.
Besides, Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Office has also given an information about how fast the wind can blow in some areas of Odisha state. Manorama Mohanty, the official of that office, said that the speed of the storm may be 80-90 km in Mayurbhanj district. In Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Jajpur districts this speed can be 60-80 km per hour.
On the other hand, in Puri, Khurda, Dhenkanal and Keonjhar the speed of the storm may be 60-70 km per hour, in Sundargarh 50-60 km, in Ganjam Nayagarh, Angul, Deogarh and Sambalpur the speed of this storm may be 40-50 km per hour.
Along with gusty wind, heavy to very heavy rain warning has also been issued in these districts. Thunderstorm and heavy rain will occur in Mayurbhanj, Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri and Ganjam districts on Thursday.
Final warning of heavy rain has been issued at several places in Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal. A final alert has been issued in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak and Baleshwar on Friday.
