A Bangladeshi youth named Mohammad Nizam was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon. He was killed in an unannounced Israeli strike on a residential building on Saturday (November 2) afternoon local time.
On Saturday, Israel carried out several rounds of airstrikes in the south of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Many were injured. Nizam lost his life.
The house of deceased Mohammad Nizam is in Kharera area of Kasba Upazila of Brahmanbaria. His father's name is Mohammad Abdul Quddus.
According to the sources of the Bangladesh Embassy in Lebanon, Nizam was killed on the spot in an airstrike on his way to work in the Hazmiye area of Beirut on Saturday afternoon. Currently, his body is in a local hospital mortuary.
Nizam went to Lebanon 12 years ago in search of livelihood. Efforts are underway to bring his body back to the country.
Mohammad Anwar Hossain, First Secretary (Labor) of the Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut confirmed his death and said that he was waiting at a coffee shop in the afternoon local time.
According to a press release of the embassy authorities, Air Vice Marshal Javed Tanveer Khan, Bangladesh Ambassador to Lebanon, expressed deep grief over the death of remittance fighter Mohammad Nizam Uddin and sought forgiveness for his departed soul. He also expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members.
