BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia's physical condition has not improved and she is still in critical condition, said the party's Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi. He made the announcement at an emergency press conference in Nayapaltan, the capital, on Sunday (November 30).
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, "There has been no change in Khaleda Zia's physical condition. The medical board has not yet given any advice regarding her treatment abroad. It is not possible to take any decision on this without the advice of the board."
He said that BNP has postponed all its programs in December, the month of victory, due to Khaleda Zia's physical illness. The party has appealed to the countrymen to pray for her recovery.
Regarding the crowd of BNP leaders and activists and the general public in front of the hospital, Rizvi said, "If there is an excessive crowd in the hospital, medical activities will be disrupted. Therefore, everyone is requested not to crowd in front of the hospital. Everyone will pray from their respective positions."
Stating that doctors are in regular contact with party leaders, the BNP leader said that the medical board is providing an overall physical check-up of the BNP Chairperson.
