An expert medical team from China has arrived in Dhaka to provide assistance and advice in the treatment of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. The experts met with the medical board formed to treat her at the capital's Evercare Hospital at around 3:30 pm on Monday. This information was confirmed by cardiologist Professor Dr. Shahabuddin Talukder.
He said that the Chinese team is reviewing Khaleda Zia's current physical condition and discussing with doctors to determine the necessary treatment.
He said, "What is necessary for treatment, which method may be most effective - these issues will be evaluated in detail."
Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various complications including liver, kidney, and heart disease for a long time. She is undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital. Those concerned believe that the addition of new foreign experts to her treatment may provide new directions in the treatment process.
