BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia's son Tarique Rahman has thanked the Zia family and BNP for their support and prayers for her recovery. In a status on his verified Facebook post on Tuesday morning, the acting BNP chairman wrote, "The collective support of the countrymen is the source of strength and motivation for our family. The immense love and prayers of the people of Bangladesh, everything is deeply touching our emotions and feelings."
In the post, he wrote, "On behalf of the Zia family and BNP, we sincerely thank everyone for the cooperation and good wishes being extended to the health of our national leader Begum Khaleda Zia from different parts of the world. The concerns and anxieties of leaders, diplomats and friends from different countries, as well as the immense love and prayers of the people of Bangladesh, are all deeply touching our emotions and feelings."
Tarique Rahman wrote, 'The collective support of the countrymen is the source of strength and inspiration for our family. We are all constantly praying for the speedy recovery of the compassionate national leader. We are immensely grateful to every person for their unity, compassion and solidarity during this difficult time.'
