A new 20-party political alliance has emerged under the leadership of Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud's Jatiya Party (JPA) and Anwar Hossain Manjur's Jatiya Party (JP).

The name of this new alliance is the National Democratic Front (NDF).

The alliance launched its journey at a press conference held at the Emmanuel Party Center in Gulshan, Dhaka, on Monday (December 8).

The other parties in the alliance are: Janata Party Bangladesh, Bangladesh Jatiya Party, Trinamool BNP, Bangladesh Cultural Liberation Alliance, Bangladesh Nationalist Movement, Bangladesh Muslim League, National Islamic Grand Alliance, National Reform Alliance, Bangladesh Labor Party, Swadhin Party, National Swadhinata Party, Bangladesh Human Rights Party, Bangladesh Sarvajanin Dal, Bangladesh Jankalyan Party, Applied Democratic Party, Bangladesh Democratic Movement, Democratic Party and Bangladesh National League.
