People are more likely to see BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman as the prime minister of the government formed after the next parliamentary election. While about a quarter of people see Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Shafiqur Rahman as the prime minister.

This opinion of the people has emerged in a survey conducted by Prothom Alo . The survey was conducted by private research firm Keymakers Consulting Limited. The title of the survey is 'National Public Opinion Survey on Important Socio-Political Issues 2025'.

The survey asked, "Among the leaders of Bangladesh, who do you think is most likely to become the prime minister after the next parliamentary election?" In response to this question, 47.5 percent of people voted for BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.

Tarique Rahman has never participated in any parliamentary elections. He has been living in exile in the UK since 2008. Although Tarique Rahman is leading the party while Khaleda Zia is in prison and is ill. If BNP wins the next election, Tarique Rahman will be made the next prime minister, the party leaders are also saying so.

About 19 percent of people think that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has the possibility of becoming the Prime Minister. However, she has been ill for a long time.
