Police have arrested Ayesha, the main accused in the murder of a mother and daughter in the capital's Mohammadpur.

He was arrested from the Nalchiti area of ​​Jhalakathi, Barisal on Wednesday (December 10) at 12:30 pm.

Abdullah Al Mamun, Assistant Commissioner of Mohammadpur area of ​​Tejgaon police zone, confirmed the matter.

He told that, "With the help of information technology and secret communication, domestic worker Ayesha has been arrested. She hid in a relative's house in Nalchiti area. Domestic worker Ayesha is being brought to Dhaka."

Earlier, on Monday, alleged domestic worker Ayesha killed her mother Laila Firoz (48) and her daughter Nafisa Lawal Binte Aziz (15) and fled. CCTV footage shows her wearing a burqa and taking the elevator to a 7th-floor flat at 7:51 am. Later, at 9:35 am, she left wearing a mask, a bag on her shoulder and a school uniform. The deceased Nafisa was a ninth-grade student of Mohammadpur Preparatory School.
