Executive magistrates will be taking to the field from tomorrow, Friday to ensure compliance with the election code of conduct.
Election Commission (EC) Deputy Secretary Mohammad Monir Hossain sent a letter in this regard to the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday.
The letter states that preparatory activities are underway to hold the 13th National Parliament Election. The Election Commission has decided to appoint at least two Executive Magistrates in each Upazila/Thana to enforce the Code of Conduct under the Mobile Court Act, 2009 from the day after the announcement of the schedule for the National Parliament Election until 2 days after the polling. Therefore, it is requested to take necessary measures to appoint at least two Executive Magistrates in each Upazila/Thana to enforce the Code of Conduct.
