Zulkarnain Sayer, a journalist of Al Jazeera, said it has been confirmed that the attackers on Hadi have crossed the border and entered India. He said their current location is in the city of Guwahati in Assam.

Sayer gave this information in a status posted on his verified Facebook ID on Saturday (December 13) night.

In a Facebook post, he wrote, "It has been confirmed that the shooter involved in the shooting incident of Osman Hadi, former Chhatra League leader Faisal Karim Masud alias Daud Khan, and his associate, motorbike driver Alamgir Hossain, crossed the border into India yesterday evening (December 12). Their current location is in Guwahati city, Assam."

Sayer further wrote, 'They are being assisted in India by Awami League leader Jahangir Kabir Nanak's personal assistant (PS) Md. Masudur Rahman Biplob. These killers are staying in India under Biplob's supervision.'

Quoting reliable sources, he said, "This attack was carried out in a very planned manner and several other hit teams are planning to repeat similar incidents."

"Meanwhile, the main shooter, Faisal, has claimed to his close circle that the weapon he used jammed and he was only able to fire one shot, his plan being to fire four."

Sayer further wrote in the Facebook post, 'Sources claim that another armed cadre like Faisal is Md. Sajjad, a former executive member of the Chittagong City Jubo League, who was arrested on May 13, 2025, from the Gulshan area of ​​the capital Dhaka in the case of the murder of Faisal Ahmed Shanto in Muradpur, Chittagong during the anti-discrimination student movement. However, on July 29, 2025, Sajjad was released from prison after being granted bail by the Supreme Court.'
