BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's medical board has said that there has been no major change in her physical condition. She is also not in a condition to be taken abroad.
Board member Dr. Ziaul Haque told, "Khaleda Zia is as before. It can be said that the update given through the last medical board statement is still the same. There is no major improvement. There is no deterioration either. We have allowed some further tests to be done. A new decision will be taken when they come. She is still undergoing treatment in the CCU."
Another member said, Khaleda Zia is improving. But not much. There is improvement in some small areas. Her condition is not yet suitable for taking her abroad. It will take time. A decision will be taken when she is physically fit to travel. For now, she will continue her treatment in the country.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been undergoing treatment at the capital's Evercare Hospital since November 23. The 80-year-old former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various complications including arthritis, diabetes, kidney, liver, lung, heart and eye problems for a long time.
