BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman spoke to Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus over the phone upon his arrival in the country.

He spoke to the chief advisor over the phone after landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday (December 25) afternoon.

Meanwhile, after receiving a reception from BNP standing committee members, he left the airport at 12:36 pm. Before leaving the airport and boarding the bus, Tarique Rahman took off his shoes, stepped on the ground, and took a handful of soil in his hand.

Earlier, Tarique Rahman, his wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman and daughter Zaima Rahman were received at the airport by senior BNP leaders. Among them were party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and standing committee members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdul Moin Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Selima Rahman, Salahuddin Ahmed, Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin and Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku.
