BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman took off his shoes and touched the soil of the country. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (flight number BG-202) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying him landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 12:15 pm today, Thursday.
Senior BNP leaders welcomed Tarique Rahman at the airport. His mother-in-law Syeda Iqbal Mand Banu garlanded him at the airport.
Tarique Rahman then exchanged greetings with the leaders and activists. Later, he went to the flower garden outside the airport and took off his shoes and touched the soil of the country. At that time, an emotional atmosphere was created among the leaders and activists present there.
