Voting for the Chittagong University Central Student Union (CHAKSU) and Hall Parliament elections has ended. Voting officially ended at 4 pm today, Wednesday. However, voters waiting in line inside the polling stations were able to vote even after 4 pm. After the voting, candidates and their supporters are now waiting in front of various centers to wait for the results.
Chief Election Commissioner Md. Monir Uddin told Prothom Alo that the voting ended at 4 pm in a peaceful and orderly environment. Now the ballots will be separated from the center and taken to the Dean's office. Then the votes will be counted there in front of the cameras.
There was excitement and enthusiasm among voters throughout the day in this year's election. However, several panels, including the Chhatra Dal, made various complaints about mismanagement in the election, including voting on ballot papers without signatures and indelible ink.
