Three more buses and a private car were set on fire by miscreants in the capital Dhaka. Two Raida Paribahans and a Rajdhani Paribahan were set on fire in the capital's Jatrabari, Uttara and Bashundhara areas on Monday (November 10) night.
Rashed bin Khalid, duty officer at the fire service control room, told on Tuesday (November 11).
He said that at 12:54 am, news came that a Rajdhani Paribahan bus caught fire while parked at Rayerbagh in Jatrabari. Upon receiving the news, two units of the fire service reached the spot and worked to control the fire. However, the cause of the fire is not known.
A fire broke out in a Raida Paribahan bus parked on Sonargaon Janapada Road in Uttara at around 4 am. Two units of the fire service brought the fire under control after receiving the information.
In addition, at 2:07 am, there was a report of a fire in a Raida Paribahan bus at the Kajla Toll Plaza in Jatrabari. Later, two units of the fire service brought the fire under control. The miscreants set the bus on fire.
The fire service official also said that miscreants set fire to a private car on Bashundhara Main Gate 100 Feet Road in the capital at 2:35 am. Later, the fire service brought the fire under control after receiving information.
Earlier, a moving bus of Shanta Mariam University caught fire in front of LabAid Hospital in the capital's Dhanmondi around 7:30 pm on Monday. Two units of the fire service brought the fire under control.
Earlier, miscreants set fire to two buses in the capital's Merul Badda and Shahjadpur areas.
