Police have stopped students from bulldozing Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's house at Dhanmondi 32. There, they once again clashed with law enforcement agencies, including the police.

It was seen on the ground that after the International Crimes Tribunal sentenced former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal to death, the protesters again went to demolish Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's house located at Dhanmondi 32. Later, members of the law enforcement agencies, including the police, fired tear gas and sound grenades to disperse them. Currently, the protesters are being chased by law enforcement agencies. The situation in the area remains tense.
At noon, students set off from the main gate of Dhaka College towards Dhanmondi 32 to demolish the house. Later, around noon, when the students reached the entrance of Dhanmondi 32 area with an excavator, the police stopped them. At that time, the situation became heated when the students and the crowd tried to chase the police. Later, the police chased the students and dispersed them.
Earlier, the army had taken a strong stand surrounding the entire road around Dhanmondi 32. On the other hand, the student crowd, who had taken a stand with excavators, heated up the atmosphere by chanting various anti-Awami League slogans. Among their slogans were - 'Mujibabad will not be a stronghold in this Bengal', 'Destroy house number 32, demolish it'.
Following the July coup, angry students and the public demolished parts of Dhanmondi 32 building several times with bulldozers.
