National Security Advisor Dr. Khalilur Rahman met with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau. The meeting took place at the US State Department in Washington, DC on Wednesday (June 18). They discussed the Rohingya crisis, ongoing Bangladesh-US tariff negotiations, the recent situation in South Asia, and Bangladesh's democratic transition.
Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor, Abul Kalam Azad, gave the information to Majumder.
Citing the meeting, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder said that the US Deputy Secretary of State praised the leadership of Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus at this important juncture for Bangladesh and assured him of the United States' continued support for Bangladesh.
Khalilur Yar Rahman also met separately with US Assistant Trade Representative Brendan Lynch and held constructive discussions on the mutual tariff agreement.
