Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd.) has said that a special or combing operation will be conducted from now on to catch identified criminals and terrorists.
He made the remarks to reporters after the 11th meeting of the Advisory Council Committee on Law and Order at the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday afternoon.
He said steps are being taken to take the trial of the murder in Mitford in the capital to a speedy trial tribunal. One person has already been arrested in the Khulna murder case. The government believes that a criminal is a criminal, regardless of the party he belongs to. No one is being spared on the basis of political or other identity and will not be spared in the future. The police will not spare any criminal.
The Home Affairs Advisor said that law enforcement agencies are conducting regular operations against all types of criminal activities including murder, theft, robbery, extortion, kidnapping, terrorism, kidnapping, women's violence, mob violence, and drug smuggling.
He further said that considering the situation, the government can conduct special or combing operations at any time to catch identified criminals and terrorists. In this regard, the cooperation of everyone, including the general public, is highly desirable. The government will strictly suppress any activities that disrupt public order and public security.
