Stating that there will be another fight in the future Bangladesh, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, 'I want to say what will the future Bangladesh be like? I will say that there will be another fight, InshaAllah. One fight will be against fascism, another fight will be against corruption.
He made these remarks while addressing the national rally organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Saturday (July 19).
He said, "Whatever needs to be done to root out this corruption, we will unite the power of youth and youth, and InshaAllah, we will win this fight."
He asked, "What is the proof that Jamaat-e-Islami will build a corruption-free society? We will build it with everyone. We promise that the fight will continue until liberation is achieved."
Meanwhile, while delivering this speech, Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman fell down on the stage after falling ill. At that time, Jamaat doctors started treating him.
At one point, he sat down and started giving a speech and said, "I won't be able to live a minute longer than God has given me. So don't let any of you get upset about this."
Explaining what he would do if he came to power, he said, "If Jamaat-e-Islami gets the opportunity to serve the people of the country by God's will, it will not be the owner, but the servant, Insha Allah."
Making the announcement, the Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer said, "Today I am announcing that, along with millions of people, those from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami who will be elected as members of parliament and form the government in the future, no MP, no minister will accept any plot from the government, will not ride in tax-free vehicles, will not handle money in their own hands, and will present the account report to the 180 million people as soon as the work is completed, as allocated for their specific work."
At that time, he warned, "We will not take bribes, we will not commit corruption. We will not allow bribes to be taken, we will not tolerate corruption."
