From 8 am on Friday to 8 am on Saturday (in one day), 331 more patients were admitted to hospitals due to dengue. During this period, 3 people died.
This information was given in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Saturday (July 26).
It said that 132 people were newly admitted to the hospital in Barisal division, 30 in Chittagong division, 73 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 28 in Dhaka North City, 47 in Dhaka South City, 18 in Khulna division and 3 in Mymensingh division.
Meanwhile, 275 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, 17,693 people have been discharged this year.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said that a total of 19,120 patients have been admitted to hospitals since January this year. So far this year, 73 people have died of dengue.
Incidentally, from January to December 31, 2024, a total of 101,214 people were infected with dengue and a total of 575 people died of dengue. Earlier, from January 1 to December 31, 2023, a total of 1,705 people died of dengue. A total of 321,179 people were admitted to the hospital that year.
