The Jatiya Party (JPA) earned 264,38938 taka in 2024. It showed an expenditure of 179,884 taka.

On Wednesday, Jatiya Party Presidium member Rezaul Islam Bhuiyan submitted the audit report for the 2024 calendar year to Election Commission Secretary Akhtar Ahmed.

The income and expenditure account provided to the Election Commission for the calendar year 2024 (January 1 to December 31) shows that they have earned 2,64,38,938 taka. Expenditure is 1,79,88,044 taka. And the balance is 8,450,894 taka.

The party earns income from the sale of nomination forms, membership dues, publication sales, etc. The expenses are spent on promotional activities, salaries of office staff, etc.

The Representation of the People Order requires registered parties to submit their income and expenditure accounts for the previous calendar year to the EC by July 31 of each year.
Previously, in the election year 2023, the JPA earned Tk 22.22 million and spent Tk 1.318 million. In 2022, their income was Tk 22.914 million. Expenditure was Tk 1.28 million. The bank balance was Tk 1.777 million. In 2021, the Jatiya Party showed income of Tk 2.985 million, including bank deposits. The expenditure was Tk 8.468 million. At the end of the year, the party's balance was Tk 1.25 million. In 2020, the JPA's expenditure was Tk 7.644 million. The surplus was Tk 5.168 million.

Since the introduction of the registration system in 2008, political parties have submitted their income and expenditure accounts for the previous calendar year (January-December) to the EC by July 31 of each year, audited by a recognized chartered accounting firm.

Currently, there are 50 political parties registered with the Election Commission, including BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and JPA. For the first time, the Awami League is out of the loop as its registration has been suspended. According to the law, if a party fails to submit its income and expenditure accounts for three consecutive years, its registration will be cancelled.

Khalilur Rahman Khalil, Md. Nuruzzaman and Mahmud Alam were also present in the Jatiya Party delegation when it submitted its income and expenditure accounts.
