Jatiya Party Secretary General (Party) Mujibur Rahman Chunnu said, "We did not do anything illegal by participating in the elections as a party. If there was any moral mistake or blunder, then standing in this council, we, on behalf of the Jatiya Party, apologize unconditionally to the countrymen."
He made these remarks at the 10th National Council of the Jatiya Party at the Emmanuel Party Center on Saturday (August 9).
Chunnu said, "I have been the Secretary General of the Jatiya Party for the past four years. I may have made mistakes. You will forgive all the mistakes and errors. As the Secretary General of the Jatiya Party, I will say one thing to the countrymen, we may not have always taken the right decisions in party decisions while doing politics. We have held many elections in the past. Many times, many people criticize us in various ways, calling us collaborators of different parties or collaborators of dictatorship."
He further said, "I think we did not do anything illegal by participating in the elections as a party. If there was any moral mistake, if there was any moral error, then standing in this council, on behalf of the Jatiya Party, we apologize unconditionally to the countrymen."
The Secretary General of the Jatiya Party (Party) said, "We will request all political parties. The Jatiya Party is a party that conducts politics peacefully, and the Jatiya Party is a modern democratic party that believes in modern democracy. We want to move forward with the people of the country. We will do these things by following all the rules and regulations. For that, we seek cooperation from all political parties of Bangladesh, including the government."
Jatiya Party Chairman Anwar Hossain Manju is present as the chief guest at the National Council. The council is presided over by the party's acting chairman, Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud.
Besides, party Co-Chairman ABM Ruhul Amin, Secretary General Sheikh Shahidul Islam, Co-Chairman Kazi Firoz Rashid, and others are present as special guests at the 10th National Council of the Jatiya Party.
