In line with the rise/fall in fuel prices in the global market, fuel prices at the consumer level have been reduced in the country through an automatic system. For the month of February, the price of diesel per liter has been fixed at 100 taka, petrol at 118 taka, octane at 120 taka and kerosene at 112 taka.
The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources announced this information in a message on Saturday (January 31).
The message said that in light of the revised pricing formula for determining the price of fuel oil every month, in order to ensure the supply of fuel oil at a relatively affordable price for the month of February, the selling price of diesel at the consumer level has been reduced by 2 taka per liter from 102 taka to 100 taka, octane has been reduced by 2 taka from 122 taka to 120 taka, petrol has been reduced by 2 taka from 118 taka to 116 taka, and kerosene has been reduced by 2 taka from 114 taka to 112 taka, which will be effective from February 1.
