The consumer-level price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been increased again. For February, the price of a 12-kg LPG cylinder has been raised by Tk 50 to Tk 1,356.
The price hike was announced on Monday, and the new rate will come into effect from 6:00 pm today.
At the same time, the price of auto gas has also been increased. For February, the consumer price of auto gas has been raised by Tk 2.34 per litre to Tk 62.14 per litre, inclusive of VAT.
Previously, auto gas prices were last adjusted on January 4, when the price was increased by Tk 2.48 per litre to Tk 59.80, including VAT.
Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) Chairman Jalal Ahmed said that the price of a 12-kg LPG cylinder has been fixed at Tk 1,356 for February, up from Tk 1,306, reflecting a Tk 50 increase.
Earlier, on January 4, LPG prices were also revised, when the price of a 12-kg cylinder was increased by Tk 53 to Tk 1,306.
