The Israeli occupation is carrying out attacks in the besieged Palestinian territory of Gaza in violation of the ceasefire agreement, leading to a rising death toll in the enclave. The death toll in the Israeli offensive in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has risen to 69,169.
The Gaza Health Ministry announced this information on Saturday (November 8), according to Al Jazeera .
The ministry also said that more than 240 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire agreement came into effect last month.
The report said that two more Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks on Saturday. Even after the signing of the ceasefire, Israeli forces continue to attack Palestinians under various pretexts. They have killed several more people on the northern border of Gaza, accusing them of crossing the "Yellow Line".
Locals claim that this 'yellow line', which was established after the ceasefire, is actually an invisible border, where no one knows where it is. Ordinary people are losing their lives every day due to Israeli forces' firing. Attacks are also ongoing in other areas. A child has also died after a bomb planted by Netanyahu's forces exploded.
According to local authorities, Israel has dropped about 200,000 tons of bombs on Gaza, of which 70,000 tons are still inert.
The Sheikh Radwan area of Gaza is facing a severe water crisis. The rainwater collection ponds are filled with garbage. The water is spreading to nearby settlements and refugee camps after the pump station and drainage system were destroyed in an Israeli attack.
Local authorities say the water level has risen by up to 6 meters, creating a stench, mosquitoes and a risk of infection. A UN report says much of Gaza's groundwater is now severely contaminated.
Meanwhile, violence is also increasing in the West Bank. Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes in the village of Raba, southeast of Jenin. They are being supported by the army. According to UN data, there have been 126 violent attacks on 70 villages in the West Bank since September. More than 4,000 olive trees have been burned.
