The Israeli army has killed at least 200 Palestinians in various areas of the besieged northern Gaza Strip and forcibly displaced nearly 300,000 people towards Gaza City in the past 48 hours, Gaza's state media office said.

They made this information in a statement on Saturday (May 17). The Anadolu news agency reported this information in a report on Sunday (May 18).

"Another horrific chapter has been added to Israel's bloody history. More than 200 people have been killed in the past two days in the northern Gaza Governorate alone. This series of killings is clearly part of a genocide," the statement said.

The Gaza Media Office also reported that Israeli forces have completely or partially destroyed more than 1,000 homes in the area, while pushing more than 300,000 residents into Gaza City, which lacks the necessary infrastructure to shelter them.

The statement further alleged that Israeli forces are deliberately preventing ambulances and civil defense workers from reaching the site of the attack, resulting in the bodies of approximately 140 people being buried under rubble, in direct violation of international human rights law.

Israeli drones also burned hundreds of tents set up for refugees in the Tel al-Zatar area of ​​Jabalia, Beit Lahia city and surrounding areas in northern Gaza. The Gaza Media Office says the silence and shameless cooperation of the international community during this incident is deeply worrying.

The Media Office also expressed concern about the situation in Gaza City, where thousands of families are forced to live on the streets due to a lack of shelters or tents, especially in the Al-Jalaa Street and Al-Saftawy areas. They are facing an extreme humanitarian crisis, amid a complete absence of food, water and medicine, and the ongoing blockade and airstrikes.

In such a situation, the statement called on the international community to urgently stop the genocide, send international teams for rescue and medical assistance, lift the blockade to ensure the entry of humanitarian aid, and bring Israeli leaders to justice in an international court.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces killed 378 Palestinians during US President Donald Trump's recent four-day visit to the Gulf states. The number was close to 100 in the previous four days, meaning the death toll during Trump's visit has nearly quadrupled, Anadolu Agency has learned, analyzing data from the Gaza Health Ministry.

Incidentally, Israel has completely cut off all food, water, and medicine supplies to Gaza since March 2. Then, on March 18, Israel broke the ceasefire and resumed its attacks on Gaza. The war, which began in October 2023, has killed more than 53,200 people so far.
