Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Monday (June 23).
TRT World reported this information on Saturday (June 21), citing US media.
The media outlet says that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi may meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow next Monday, according to US media outlets NBC News and Axios.
Earlier, in an interview with NBC News after talks with top European diplomats in Geneva, Araghchi said that Iran is ready for diplomatic talks, but first the Israeli airstrikes must stop.
"Whether there will be a deal or not depends on the United States. Do they really want a negotiated solution, or are they thinking of something else - and either way, they want to attack Iran?" he said.
Asked whether it would be possible to reach any kind of agreement within the two-week deadline, Araghchi said, "It depends on the goodwill of the Trump administration."
He also said that Iran is currently not sure whether the United States can still be trusted. The Iranian foreign minister also called the Trump administration's recent actions a "betrayal of diplomacy."
