Ketu Mizan, a resident of a dark and dangerous world, became more violent day by day. Even after his arrest, his arrogant behavior did not stop. While being taken to court yesterday Saturday, under heavy police guard and handcuffed, Mizan said to everyone, "You do dramas, movies, and pictures, I do real things."
Even after slitting the throat of Gazipur journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin, he shows no remorse. On the contrary, he threatened to take journalists to court yesterday afternoon while he was being taken from the Gazipur Metropolitan Police headquarters. His wife was his second-in-command in the world he had built. Together, the two controlled this robbery gang in the busiest Chandana Chowrasta intersection area of Gazipur city. Hundreds of thousands of people commute through this busiest intersection every day. Golap used to bring young people to him to fall into the trap of cheating (honeytrap) and rob them of everything.

A young man named Badsha Mia from Sherpur fell into the trap of Ketu Mizan and Golapi's fraud last Thursday night. Asaduzzaman Tuhin, a staff reporter for the daily newspaper Pratidin Kagoj, became the ultimate victim.
While filming the scene of the king being beaten, Tuhin fell under the wrath of this vicious group. In the end, they publicly hacked him to death by slitting his throat. Within 24 hours of the incident, the Metropolitan Police arrested six people, including the group's leader Ketu Mizan and his wife Golap. Members of RAB-1 arrested Swadhin, who participated in the murder.
At a press conference at the Gazipur Metropolitan Police Headquarters on Saturday afternoon, Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Dr. Md. Nazmul Karim Khan said that on the day of the incident, Badsha Mia withdrew Tk 25,000 from a local ATM booth. Seeing this, Golap tried to honeytrap Badsha. At one point during the conversation with Golap, Badsha Mia realized that he was being tried to honeytrap him. Then a conflict arose between them and Badsha Mia punched Golap.
He said, immediately after punching Golap, five or six of his associates, who were already waiting, came forward and started beating Badsha Mia indiscriminately with choppers. At that time, journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin was recording a video of Badsha Mia escaping from there. The miscreants saw him recording the video. Then they realized that their crime would be exposed to the public through this video.
The Police Commissioner further said that the accused got into an argument with journalist Tuhin to snatch his video and chased him. At one point, journalist Tuhin took shelter in a tea stall and was caught from there and hacked to death. We collected CCTV footage immediately after the incident. After looking at the footage, we identified eight people. Seven people involved in the incident have been arrested within 24 hours. He also said that a chargesheet will be filed against the accused within the next 15 days once the autopsy report is available.
Expressing regret over the failure to ensure proper security in the killing of Tuhin, Nazmul Karim said, "We cannot avoid responsibility for the killing of journalists. We have failures and shortage of manpower."
Basan Police Station OC Shahin Khan said that two cases have been filed in connection with the murder of journalist Tuhin. The plaintiff in one of the cases is the elder brother of the deceased journalist Tuhin, Md. Selim. The plaintiff in the other case is the brother of Badsha Mia, who was injured in another attack that occurred before Tuhin's murder. He said that all seven arrested people have been sent to jail through the court. The judge granted two days of remand for each of them when they sought 10 days of remand.
