Jaya Ahsan is not getting any younger. As much as this is widely discussed in Dhaka showbiz, her fans are also surprised by the actress's fitness. She is still working in full swing with equal popularity in two Bengali films. She is not only admired for her acting style, beauty and discretion in choosing characters, but has become a kind of icon. After captivating the audience with 'Tandav' and 'Utsav', which were released on Eid in Dhaka in the first half of 2025, two films starring her - 'Dear Maa' and 'Putulnacher Itikotha' - were released in Kolkata in July and August.
The actress, who is busy promoting her new film, recently admitted publicly for the first time in an interview with Kolkata-based YouTube channel Indulge Express that she has been in a long-term relationship. She also revealed her thoughts on marriage and some unknown facts about her personal life.
To the host's question, Jaya candidly said, 'Yes, of course there is. People cannot be alone. Of course there is.' However, she said that her 'special person' is not someone from the film industry. It was not a conscious decision for her to get into a relationship with someone from the film industry, but it happened.
According to Jaya, 'We have been together for a long time, many years... It is important to become good friends before becoming partners in any relationship; we have achieved that. He tolerates a lot of my abuse. I am an actor, I travel a lot, I come to Kolkata and work for a long time - he doesn't even think about any of this. He lets me work, it's a big deal. We are both very private people, so we try to be ourselves.'
When asked what quality she likes most in her partner, she said, 'He's very calm.' The host then jokingly said, 'You're calm too.' Jaya replied with a smile,
'Yes, maybe that's why I like him.'
Regarding marriage, Jaya said, "I can't say that right now. I don't know if I want to get married very soon or not, or if it will happen at all. However, I respect the idea of getting married and living together, but I haven't decided yet."
When asked if she is not ready for marriage, she said, "It's not a matter of preparation. I actually have a fear, fear works." When asked
if this fear is due to past relationship experiences, Joya replied, "It could be. I think so too."
At the end of the interview, the actress said that there are talks about some new movies and web series, but she doesn't want to say anything about them right now.
