The Netherlands will play a three-match T20 series against Bangladesh in Sylhet. They arrived in Sylhet on Wednesday to play the series. The three matches will start at 6 pm on August 30, September 1 and September 3 respectively.
The Netherlands Cricket Board has made three changes to the previously announced squad before coming to Bangladesh. The three cricketers are Sikandar Zulfikar, Sebastian Brat, and Cedric de Lange.
Among them, Zulfikar has returned to the national team after six years. Brat has been called up after four years. 17-year-old De Lang has received his first call-up to the national team.
Ryan Klein and Fred Klaasen, who were previously called up to the Dutch team, are injured. Shakib Zulfikar has withdrawn from the team due to personal reasons.
Speaking about the changes in the team, Dutch captain Edward Scott said, "It's always exciting to have a young player in the team. Cedric has had a great summer. He has a great career ahead of him, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the team in the upcoming series."
"We welcome Brat to the national team. He hasn't been with the team for many years. But he has played well at the domestic level. He has had a good summer too. We are looking forward to getting his experience back in the team. Sikander has played many matches for the team before. He is very effective in the slog. We can't wait to get him back in the team."
