Ticket sales for the Bangladesh-India match began at 2 pm today. Within five minutes, when I logged into the Quicket.me website, I saw that there were no tickets left for the general gallery. BFF Competition Committee Manager Golam Gauss claimed that 18,000 tickets were sold in 3 minutes.
Tickets for the Bangladesh-Hong Kong match were sold out in 24 minutes last October. Tickets for the India match were sold out in just 3 minutes. Even though the match is being considered a rule-breaking match. Still, keeping in mind the excitement of the Bangladesh-India duel, the BFF has increased the price of general gallery tickets by 100 taka to 500 taka.
Although some people claim that there is a syndicate in ticket sales, Gauss dismissed it. He told Ajker newspaper, '(Syndicate) is not possible. It is not possible in any way. All the tickets for the general gallery including the club house were booked within 3 minutes. Only a few tickets for the red box are left.'
The national team's camp began on October 30, ahead of a home match against India on November 18 in the Asian Cup qualifiers. Before facing India, Bangladesh will play a friendly match against Nepal on November 13. However, tickets for that match are still available.
