A month-long entrepreneurship development program has been inaugurated in Barisal under the SICIP project of the SME and Special Programs Department of Bangladesh Bank, initiated by AB Bank PLC.
This month-long training will enhance the necessary business knowledge and skills of participating entrepreneurs, and will help them play an effective role in sustainable economic development by bringing them under the umbrella of formal banking services.
Madhusudan Banik, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank's Barisal Office, was present as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. Md. Ayub Ali, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank's SME and Special Programs Department and Deputy Program Director of SICIP Project, and Molla Al Mahmud, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank's Barisal Office, were present as special guests.
The event was presided over by Iftekhar Enam Awal, Head of SME Banking, AB Bank. Senior officials of AB Bank and 25 selected promising young entrepreneurs from Barisal region were also present at the inaugural event.
