State-owned Rupali Bank's mobile banking service 'Rupali Bank SureCash' has been discontinued. Customers will not be able to access SureCash services from today, Friday. Instead, Rupali Bank is going to launch a new mobile banking service, RupaliCash. However, customers will have to wait up to a week for this.
Rupali Bank authorities announced the matter through an advertisement in a national daily newspaper. However, the reason for the closure of 'Rupali Bank SureCash' was not stated. The bank authorities said that Rupali Bank's current mobile banking service 'Rupali Bank SureCash' will be closed from today, Friday. The bank's new mobile banking service RupaliCash is being launched on September 25. The authorities have expressed their regret to the customers for the closure of the mobile banking service from today until next Wednesday.
It is known that Rupali Bank has been in trouble with SureCash for a long time. Rupali Bank had started operating mobile banking services by signing an agreement with SureCash, a service of a private organization, Pragati Systems Limited. Through this, various types of mobile banking services including scholarship, allowance distribution, subsidy payment are provided across the country. After Corona, Pragati Systems suddenly took the initiative to change the type of service. The company decided not to provide mobile banking services. This put Rupali Bank in danger.
Later, Pragati Systems also transferred all the systems, including the SureCash data center, to Rupali Bank. It was then decided that Rupali Bank officials would try to continue the SureCash service by gaining expertise. If it survived, the bank would later change the name of the service.
