The country's foreign exchange reserves have increased again. According to Bangladesh Bank's calculations, gross reserves currently stand at 30,248.11 million US dollars, which is about 30.25 billion dollars.
Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and Spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan gave this information on Sunday (August 10). He said that the amount of reserves, calculated using the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) BPM-6 method, stands at $25,232.33 million or about $25.32 billion.
Earlier, on August 4, the gross reserves were $30 billion and $24.98 billion under the BPM-6 method. On July 24, the amount was $30004.50 million (gross) and $24988.24 million under the BPM-6 method.
The IMF's BPM-6 standard calculates net reserves by subtracting short-term liabilities from total reserves, which reflects the actual currency reserves.
