Thirteen Israeli soldiers and settlers have been killed in clashes with Palestinian resistance groups in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank since the start of the new year.
The occupied country's media reported this information in a report on Sunday.
The Times of Israel reported that three Israelis were killed in clashes in the West Bank on January 6. The remaining 11 were killed in separate operations in Beit Hanoun, northeast of Gaza.
Two Israelis were killed in clashes in Beit Hanoun that day. Another Israeli soldier was killed in the same area of Gaza on January 7, and three were killed on January 8.
The latest clash in Beit Hanoun on January 11 left 4 Israeli soldiers dead and 6 others injured.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said the number of Israeli soldiers killed in ground operations against Hamas has now reached 402.
The new focus of the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip since October 7 last year is now the northern edge, where the IDF has recently intensified its operations against Hamas. After the Jabalia and Beit Lahia areas, Israeli forces are currently conducting operations in the Beit Hanoun area.
The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry said that more than 47,000 people have been killed and nearly 110,000 injured in the ongoing Israeli offensive.
However, a study in the medical journal Lancet suggests that the death toll in Gaza has been underestimated. The real number is at least 40 percent higher than the current figures.
Israel says it has killed about 18,000 Hamas fighters as of November and another 1,000 inside Israel as of October 7.
